Start Date
Watch my journey as it takes place each week (struggles, successes, and all).
My official start date will be Friday, April 16, 2010 (once all of our visitors leave and I can fully concentrate on my new way of living). I’m actually looking forward to it. I’ll be eating French toast and eggs for breakfast and mini pizzas for lunch just to name a couple of meals. Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Just watch and see. This is definitely doable. I can’t wait!
This diet is going to work because I’m determined, have a weekly check in, and am told exactly what to eat, when to eat, how much to eat, etc…, along with exercise (what to do and when to do it). It’s a fail-proof diet. If I stick with it, I will see results. If I don’t, I have only myself to blame. This new diet (um…way of life) is called Total Health & Fitness. This blog will show pictures, weight and measurement stats, some journaling, and basically take you on a journey of my progress.
I cringe as I see the weight on the scale so high (not my highest weight, but close enough). I am going to be brutally honest in this blog. It will serve as great accountability for me (I’m finally going to stick to a better way of living and get to a healthy goal weight not only for me, but for my family).
As I think about putting the truth down on “paper”, I wonder who will judge me. Who will look at my pictures and point out the rolls of fat. Then I think about the end result, something substantial to compare my starting pictures with, a tangible seen evidence that my body is getting rid of this fat. I then hear the “wow’s”, people pointing out the lack of fat on my body and looking at the lean muscle mass. I’ll go through that valley and get to the other side. I never want Brody to know me as “fat” or even “over weight”.
