I Won!

June21

What did I win, you ask? A MyTrak from the Fitblogger Challenge, sponsored by MyTrak. The challenge was 12 weeks long and one winner was picked each and every week and I won for the final week. There is still one more winner for them to choose (a lucky number 13 from all of the participants who entered the Fitblogger Challenge and did not win something already).

I still can’t believe I won.  I had never heard of a MyTrak before hearing of this challenge.  Once I read what it was, I wanted to buy one right from the start, but told myself to be patient and see if I might possibly be picked as a winner.  Each week I read someone else’s name as the winner and then would read their blogs and hear how much they loved their new MyTrak.  I’m so glad I waited and I’m sure it will be worth the wait.

I’ll definitely let you know what I think of it when it arrives.

Fitblogger Challenge – Week 12

June20

Quick recap…

Every week for the next 12 weeks, you make a goal for yourself about being more active, eating better, whatever you want your goal to be. Each week, you can pick a new goal or keep working on the same goal from the week before. Then…You write a post about your progress and just for working towards those goals, you’ll be entered in to win an M2 Lifestyle Activity Coach to help you achieve your goals!

My goal for last week was:
To stay on track however I can.  To get in all of my water (I had been slacking), to stay away from the junk food in the house and to make time to at least go for a walk or do some sort of exercise each day.

Did I meet my goal?
Sort of.  I did much better on my water (and do Popsicles count as part of your water intake…LOL).  Most of the junk had been eaten in the house, so it was a bit easier to stay away from it.  I didn’t get out to walk or anything, but did do some silly dancing and jumping around with Brody each day and got winded (can’t imagine it was a great workout, but it was more than I was doing).

So…what’s my goal for this next week?
Our current guests just left and I have two weeks free until our next guests arrive, so need to get back in the groove of getting up early and working out before getting ready for the day.  That’s my goal (get back into a routine for the next two weeks).

Side Note:
I’m learning that I’m not SuperWoman and I can’t do it all.  I can’t even balance life at the moment without guests.  I feel like life is just on hold (hitting the pause button as I try to catch up).

We have such a busy schedule already, but when you add guests to the mix, it really changes things up (and three extra kids in the house makes one quite exhausted). In two weeks, we’ll have my husband’s family here (parents, sister, and nephew), then the day they leave, my Mom arrives, which will make another two weeks (total) worth of visitors again.  I know I’ll do much better with my eating and I just hope to get in the right rhythm these next couple of weeks and stay in it (concerning exercise) while they’re here.

I’ll do my best to check in, but haven’t been taking time to weigh in, do my Saturday posts (I miss these), or any other posts I’ve been wanting to do. Thanks for being patient with me…until the end of July. *sigh*

Quick recap…

My goal for last week was:
To continue doing what I’m doing with family visiting.

Did I meet my goal?
So far, so good.  I haven’t gone insane yet. :)  Sure there are some extra yummy snacks around the house with three additional kids in the house, but I’m rationing pretty well.  Workouts have been hard to come by though.  I did move the majority of the weight equipment I use into our bedroom, but have been completely exhausted by the end of each day that I have no energy or time to fit in a work out.  There’s always something to do (go, go, go).  *sigh*

So…what’s my goal for this next week?
Just stay on track however I can.  To get in all of my water (been slacking this past week), to stay away from the junk food in the house and to make time to at least go for a walk or do some sort of exercise each day.

Quick recap…

Every week for the next 12 weeks, you make a goal for yourself about being more active, eating better, whatever you want your goal to be. Then…You write a post about your progress and just for working towards those goals, you’ll be entered in to win an M2 Lifestyle Activity Coach to help you achieve your goals!

My goal for last week was:
To continue getting back on track (eating and exercising, watching my portions, eating smaller and more frequent meals, etc…). To complete my goals/prizes list.

Did I meet my goal?
I DID!  I’m not completely on track, but I’m more on track than I was before. :)  I watched my portions, ate healthier, did not go to fast food once, ate more frequent meals, and even exercised.  Yea me!  I also completed my goals/prizes list (stay tuned for tomorrow’s post). :)

So…what’s my goal for this next week?
To continue doing what I’m doing.  My sister and her three kids are visiting for two weeks and arrive tonight.  It’ll be hard to stay on track, but I do have some healthy meals planned and have moved my weights and other exercise equipment into our bedroom from the weight room (which is converted to a guest bedroom right now). I’m really trying now.

Fitblogger Challenge – Week 9

Quick recap…

Every week for the next 12 weeks, you make a goal for yourself about being more active, eating better, whatever you want your goal to be. Each week, you can pick a new goal or keep working on the same goal from the week before. Then…You write a post about your progress and just for working towards those goals, you’ll be entered in to win an M2 Lifestyle Activity Coach to help you achieve your goals!

My goal for last week was:
To simply get back on track.  To finally get my goals/prizes list written.

Did I meet my goal?
I’m slowly getting back on track.  I’m still feeling the soreness from my workout the other day, but did get my butt up and out of bed to exercise and shower before having to get my son up (huge step in the right direction for me).  I still have my list of goals/prizes to complete.  I have it all written out (on a scratch piece of paper), but need to organize it better.

So…what’s my goal for this next week?
Continue getting back on track (eating and exercising, watching my portions, eating smaller and more frequent meals, etc…).  I will complete my goals/prizes list.  I need this as a visual for me.  It will make a difference to see them wrote out and hung up (a constant reminder of what’s to come).  Stay tuned.
